What is Klarna?
Klarna is a third party payment service that helps buyers who meet certain criteria to shop now and pay over time. You can buy items for the same price as with other payment methods on Depop but you have more time to pay.
What’s available?
At the moment Klarna is only available to some users in the United States. Depop is currently testing Klarna as a third party payments services provider. Klarna allows you to split your purchase into 4 interest-free instalments*.
You won't see it on every shop for now, but we're constantly looking at how we extend flexible payment options to as many shops as possible.
Klarna is only available to buyers who are aged 18 and over.
*CA resident loans made or arranged pursuant to a California Financing Law license.
What does this mean for me as a seller?
If you are a seller on Depop, nothing will change for you. If a buyer pays for a purchase with Klarna you will receive the payment in your Depop balance as usual.
Here you can find more information on Klarna for sellers, including which sellers will offer Klarna as a payment option.
What does this mean for me as a buyer?
If you are a buyer on Depop with a billing address in the US and meet Klarna’s criteria, you will see that on some items you now have the option to checkout with Klarna.
When you purchase on Depop using Klarna, you agree to Klarna’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice, and your payments are made directly to Klarna.
