How much does it cost to buy on Depop?
When buying on Depop, your total transaction amount will include:
- The item sale price, as agreed between you and the seller
- Shipping costs
- VAT or any other applicable taxes and duties
- The Marketplace Fee (if you are located in the UK or US)
What do I get for the Marketplace Fee?
For buyers in the United Kingdom (UK) or United States (US) who buy in GBP (£) or USD ($) currency, a Marketplace Fee will be applied to each purchase on Depop. This ensures we can continually invest in and provide you with:
Depop Protection: You’re safe in the knowledge that we’ve got your back if there’s an issue with your purchase (terms and exclusions apply).
Customer support: We are dedicated to improving and growing our support capabilities, so you can buy with even more confidence.
New features and improvements: We are increasingly investing in our platform to upgrade features, security and item discoverability.
Community growth: Comprehensive marketing helps us to attract and connect you with new sellers globally, making it easier for you to discover your next unique find faster.
How much is the Marketplace Fee?
The Marketplace Fee will be applied to each purchase made on Depop in the UK and the US in either GBP (£) or USD ($). The Marketplace Fee will be charged at:
- up to 5% of the item purchase price, plus
- a fixed amount of up to £/$1,
excluding taxes and shipping costs. The exact amount of the Marketplace Fee applicable to your purchase will always be shown as part of the checkout process.
Is the Marketplace Fee refundable?
Yes, the Marketplace Fee will be refunded in full in the event your item is refunded.
What about bundles?
For bundles, the percentage element of the Marketplace Fee will be calculated on the combined purchase price of all items in the bundle. The fixed amount will be charged once per transaction.
