UK sellers have three options
- Arrange your own shipping: Arrange worldwide shipping yourself (go down to your local post office or purchase a shipping label through a third party etc)
- ’Ship With Depop Dropoff': Ship through Depop with Evri (formerly Hermes), dropping off your parcel at one of their dropoff points (Mainland UK only - England, Wales, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scotland excluding the Scottish Highlands)
- 'Ship With Depop Courier collect': Ship through Depop with Evri collecting your parcel from your address (Mainland UK only - England, Wales, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scotland excluding the Scottish Highlands)
SUPER IMPORTANT: Only send the item to the address on the in-app receipt to be protected by PayPal and Depop's Seller Protection, and be sure to keep proof of postage in case something goes wrong.**
How do I use Ship with Depop?
- Tap ‘delivery’, select ‘Ship with Depop’ and enter your shipping address
- Select ‘package size’. Choose the size/weight of the item
- Tap ‘who pays’, and choose either:
- Buyer pays for shipping - the price of the sale plus the value of the label will be sent to your PayPal or will be paid out to your bank account if it's a sale using Depop Payments.
- I will pay for shipping - the price of the item will be sent to your PayPal or your bank account if it's a sale through Depop payments.
Note: if you choose ‘buyer pays for shipping’, you’ll initially be paid extra (price of the item + cost of the label), and then the label cost will be taken with your fee in one single charge. This can be a little confusing, so check out a breakdown below:
Here's an example of how the transaction(s) appear in PayPal using a 'Small' label | |
Buyer pays for shipping | I will pay for shipping |
Item (£20) and shipping (£2.90): £22.90 PayPal fee (2.9% + £0.30 = £0.96) £21.94 Depop 10% (£2) + 'small' label (£2.99) = (-£4.99) Total after all deductions: £16.95 |
Item price: £20 PayPal fee (2.9% +£0.30 = £0.88) £19.12 Depop 10% (£2) + 'small' label (£2.99) = (-£4.99) Total after deductions: £14.13 |
How do you find your label?
- Open the sales receipt. (Tap the floating paper icon)
- Scroll down and press ‘view shipping label’ or the floating icon on Android
- You can view and print your label from there OR print your label directly from your email receipt if you choose or if you are running iOS 10 and below
- Stick the label to your package with clear tape
- Drop off at one of Evri 5000 drop off points, you can locate these here or wait for your item to collected if you selected courier collect.

BORING BUT IMPORTANT: As a seller, it is always your responsibility to send items tracked and keep proof of postage. This is because the seller is the only party that can prove that the item has been sent properly. This is really important because if something goes wrong (like the buyer claiming that their item hasn't arrived), you must have proof that you've shipped it off properly.
Without tracking, the buyer, Depop, and PayPal have no way of determining whether or not the item was sent, or where it was sent. So please send that parcel tracked!
