When you sell an item, Depop will automatically charge the 10% fee on the total transaction amount (including shipping costs). This charge will be taken directly from your PayPal account or the card you are using for payments before the remainder of the money you have made is paid to you.
Sometimes we might not be able to take our fee at the time of the sale, if so we will take the fee up to 21 days afterwards.
So if you see a fee taken on a date you haven’t made a sale or a fee on a day which doesn’t add up to sales that day this will be a delayed fee, we cannot take any unauthorised fees, so this fee will always be related to a sale.
Please keep in mind if you are using one of our in-app shipping labels with USPS or MyHermes, we have no way of taking the payment for the shipping label directly from the buyer, so this is taken from you (the seller) when the Depop fee is taken. You'll notice that the item price + the shipping label price was originally deposited into your PayPal account - we then removed it along with the Depop fee.
