Shipping Guide - UK

If you’re a UK seller using Depop, you have 2 shipping options: 

  1. Depop Shipping: Use Depop’s shipping label via Evri. Once you’ve made a sale you can simply download the QR code, find a convenient drop off location near you and enjoy the fully tracked service (Mainland UK only - England, Wales, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scotland excluding the Scottish Highlands). 
  2. Other: Arrange tracked shipping yourself through a third party service.

How to find your sold items shipping label 

  • If you are on iOS go to ‘My Depop' and then the menu. If you are on Android just go to your Selling Hub Screenshot
  • Click on ‘all sold items’ 
  • Click on ‘Ship your item now’ to download your QR code or print your label.
  • You can print your shipping label by scanning the QR code at your nearest Evri ParcelShop (find more information on how Evri QR codes work here) OR you can print out your in app shipping label at home directly from the app.
  • You can also print your shipping label from your email receipt if you choose or if you are running iOS 10 and below. Stick the label to your package with clear tape.
  • Drop off at one of Evri’s 7,000 drop off points, you can locate these here

 


I don’t have a printer, what do I do? 
No printer? No problem! When you use Depop’s shipping label we’ll send you a QR code when the buyer pays for the item (and shipping cost). All you need to do is download the QR code, find your nearest drop off point and we’ll notify you on where the item is and when it will be received. 

 

 

How does it work?

  • Select 'Ship with Evri' when you list an item
  • Once your item is sold, go to ‘All sold items’
  • Select the item you want to ship
  • Click on ‘Ship your item now’ to see the QR code 
  • You can then scan this at one of 7,000 Evri ParcelShops across the UK
  • To find the nearest one to you, click ‘Find my nearest parcel shop’ underneath the QR code, or click here to find your nearest ParcelShop.

Why is this only available to some sellers?

In-app this feature is only available for iOS users. However, all users in the UK can also get their Evri QR code from their email receipt.

 

 

Want to use an alternative shipping method?

If you have been automatically opted into Depop Shipping or have changed your shipping preference, your existing listings will remain unchanged. However, any new listings created after the change will be affected.

 

If you want to use your own shipping method then all you need to do is update your shipping method to 'Other'

If you are on iOS:

  • Go to ‘My Depop’
  • Go to menu
  • Click on Shipping
  • Click on ‘other’

If you are on Android:

  • Go to your Selling Hub Screenshot
  • Go to ‘shop settings’ then ‘shipping’
  • Click on ‘other’

Under ‘domestic shipping price' you’ll then be able to select the shipping price for each item individually when you’re listing a new item. 

 

IMPORTANT: 
It’s important to note that using Depop’s shipping labels means all items are sent fully tracked and eligible items are covered by Depop Protection for up to £250
. If you opt not to use Depop's shipping, you will not be eligible for Depop Protection in the unfortunate event of items being lost or damaged in transit.

 

 

 

I refunded my buyer, do I get the shipping label refunded too?

If you refund the whole transaction using the in-app refund button and have not sent the item out, as the the shipping label was paid for by the buyer, the cost of this will be automatically reversed too.

 

 


How to offer worldwide shipping 
Depop Shipping labels are limited to the UK mainland (England, Wales, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, and Scotland excluding the Scottish Highlands). If you intend to ship outside the UK, you will need to make your own shipping arrangements. You can specify your international shipping price when listing your item.

Can I offer free shipping? 
It’s not possible to offer free shipping when using Depop Shipping labels however you can do so through your own shipping method. Just input '0' as your shipping price when listing an item.

 

 

My item is being "returned to sender"

If you've sold an item using an in-app Evri shipping label and the status shows as being returned to sender, the item will be returned to the address you listed when you chose to "Ship with Evri" via Depop. 

 

View the tracking number through the Evri website as your returned item is processed. If you do need help, contact Depop Support and provide us with your return shipping address so we can look into this for you.

 

Evri will deliver your item to your address. Once you have received your item back, make sure you refund the buyer in full for their purchase.

 

 

 

My receipt says 'Mark as Shipped'

If you see the button Mark as Shipped this will mean that you have chosen to arrange your own shipping. You won't receive a label generated by Depop for this sale.

Double check your other listings to make sure that you have Depop Shipping selected so you get a Depop Shipping label for any future sales.

 

 

My receipt says 'View my Shipping label'

Once you click on ‘View my shipping label’ you can either download the shipping label and print it at home or you can just scan your QR code at your nearest Post Office, print a shipping label in-store and drop your item off all in one go.

 

 

I can't access my shipping label!

If you still aren't able to access your label after 48 hours, please submit a request and we'll take a closer look.

  1. Select Selling > Shipping > I have an issue with my Depop shipping label > I can't access my Depop Label
  2. Confirm the following:

- Your @username

- Your buyer's @username
