How do I change my username?
Updating your username in the Depop app is easy:
- Tap My Depop, then My account
- Under Settings, select Account details
- Tap Username
- Enter your new username
- Check it's spelled correctly, then tap Save
Things to remember
- Your username must be at least three characters long
- The only special character currently supported is an underscore (_)
- Your username can't match your email address
- You can't use a username that's already in use. To check, try searching for your @username in the app.
For security reasons, you won't be able to change your username if you've changed any of the following within the last 30 days:
- Your email address
- Your device
- Your PayPal account
Can't change your username in the app?
If you need help updating your username, submit a request to our Support team. Under Account, choose I want to change my username and include:
- The email address linked to your Depop account
- Your current Depop @username
- Three preferred @username options, in order of preference
