This policy applies to buyers located in Australia and is effective from 22 July 2026. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
How much does it cost to buy on Depop?
When buying on Depop, your total transaction amount will include:
- The item sale price, as agreed between you and the seller
- Shipping costs
- VAT or any other applicable taxes and duties
- The Marketplace fee (if you are located in Australia)
What do I get for the Marketplace fee?
For buyers in Australia (AUS) who buy in AUD (A$), a Marketplace fee will be applied to each purchase on Depop. This ensures we can continually invest in and provide you with:
- 24/7 customer support whenever you need it
- Secure transactions so every payment is safe
- Fraud detection and prevention
- Account security so your personal information and Depop account are protected
How much is the Marketplace fee?
The Marketplace fee will be applied to each purchase made on Depop in Australia in AUD (A$). It will be charged at:
- up to 5% of the item purchase price (excluding taxes and shipping costs), plus
- a fixed amount of up to A$1
The exact amount applicable to your purchase will always be shown as part of the checkout process.
Is the Marketplace fee refundable?
Yes, the Marketplace fee will be refunded in full in the event your item is refunded.
What about bundles?
For bundles, the percentage element of the Marketplace fee will be calculated on the combined purchase price of all items in the bundle. The fixed amount will be charged once per transaction.
