How do I report or block someone?

We want Depop to be a safe place for everyone to buy and sell. Help us keep our community safe by reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior.

What behavior isn’t allowed on Depop?

We have a zero-tolerance policy for:

• Abusive or intolerant behavior
• Harassing, aggressive or offensive messages
• Sharing screenshots with negative or accusatory remarks
• Using abusive or threatening language with our Support team

Anyone who breaks these rules may have their account suspended or permanently deactivated.

Reporting a message

iOS

• Open the app and tap Inbox
• Go to the message you want to report
• Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner and then Report

Android

• Open the app and tap Inbox
• Go to the message you want to report
• Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner and then Report

Reporting a user

iOS

• Open the app and find the user you want to report
• Go to their profile and tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner
•  Tap Report

Android

• Open the app and find the user you want to report
• Go to their profile and tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner
•  Tap Report

Once you’ve reported someone, we’ll review and take appropriate action.

Blocking a user
 

If you block someone on Depop, it:

• Prevents them from seeing your shop or items
• Stops you both from messaging each other

You can help keep our community safe by reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior first.

If you’d rather go ahead and block someone right away, here’s how:

iOS

• Open the app and find the user you want to block
• Go to their profile and tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner
• Tap Block
• To then report a user, or unblock them if you change your mind, simply head back to their profile and you'll see a pop up with the options to unblock or report.

Android

• Open the app and find the user you want to block
• Go to their profile and tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner
• Tap Block

If you ever feel unsafe or see behavior that breaks our rules, please report it to us so we can take action.

If you don’t have the Depop app

• Right now, you can only report or block someone in the app.
• If you don’t have access to the Depop app, please contact us to report someone.
